RIP Slalom Course. During the Xmas Eve rain the Barron River flooded and the large amount of debris created took out the slalom course. The mainline is a tangled mess and had to be cut to remove the course from the water. We’ve lost one pipe and the others are bent. Most buoys are intact but we have lost both main anchor points.
The course is a write-off. We are looking at costings for a new course and will import from the USA if necessary.
Even if we can procure and land a new course on-site in say 4 weeks, we will not re-install the course until we are reasonably sure that “the wet” has passed.
A big thanks to Peter and his few helpers who dragged, literally dragged, the remnants of the course from the water.
